Hotel for one night near CDG - with a rental car

We’ll be flying in to CDG from Spain and picking up a rental car at the airport around 6pm. It will be dark by then (November), and we’ll drive to Bayeux the next morning. I’m looking for someplace close to CDG that we could drive to easily for a night before heading to Bayeux. We (family of 4, including 2 teens) will be ready for a rest evening. We’ll be happy to grab dinner and relax in the room. Hotels around the airport seem very expensive for a quick stop. Can anyone recommend any areas that I should be looking in? Or is it better to stay near CDG?

The Ibis at Terminal 2 is not expensive and is quite nice. Book a room there, pick up a rental car at CDG in the morning and off you go to Bayeux.

Many people avoid rental cars in Paris, and to visit Bayeux a short train journey to Caen is advised. From Caen there are many car rental facilities, and it's a short drive onto Bayeux.

Enjoy a night in Paris (not CDG) and jump on the train from St-Lazare station to Caen.

Towns of Senlis, Chantilly, Beauvais are close to CDG. Don’t know any specific hotels, but that’s easy to find on line.

I think Norma has a good plan. We have always stayed at the Ibis at Terminal 2 and liked it, it is very convenient. Parking a car there is not free at the Ibis or any other hotel around CDG. Since traffic around CDG is always a mess for us strangers, I would not want to do any driving around there in the dark, if I could avoid it. Stay at the Ibis and connect with the rental car in the morning when you're rested and not jet lagged and save the parking fees.
