I'm traveling to Paris for my first time in a couple of weeks and thinking about booking a room at the Hotel Eiffel Segur. It is near the Cambronne area, but I am wondering if that is good/safe part of town? Has anyone stayed at this hotel before? Thanks in advance!
it is in a low crime area but that does not rule out that you won't have any problems with safety while in Paris.
My teen aged daughter and I stayed here last August and we really liked the hotel. Front desk was helpful, room although typically small was recently renovated and very well laid out and we thought the location was very good too. It was easy to get to from CDG, close to the metro and about a 20 minute leisurely walk from the Eiffel Tower. There were a couple of patisseries and restaurants nearby but the for us the area was quiet as it was over a long weekend. Normally I have stayed in the 5th &6th ard. but I would definitely stay at Hotel Eiffel Segur again.
The hotel is very close to UNESCO, and there are long stretches in this direction which have nothing notable to see or even do. There are a lot of medical offices in this area.
Boulevard Garibaldi has many elevated Metro stations, which might be noisy. I'd ask to stay in the back of the hotel.
If you go in the other direction, to rue de la Croix Nivert and rue du Commerce, you'll find lots more shopping and places to eat.
