Hotel Diana, Paris--New Management

I am trying to do a "dummy" booking for Hotel Diana, and I am unable to do so because everything beyond Nov. 1, 2023 is unavailable (red). I emailed the hotel to find out why, and they replied that as of Nov. 1, the hotel will be under new management, and that I would have to contact the new management. I replied to ask who the new management would be, and they replied that it would be a team and I would need to contact their reception. I asked for the new team's contact information--name, number or website--and have received no response.

After sending three emails in which they had the opportunity to tell me the new management's contact info, it seems that they are not interested in giving it out.
Does anyone know who is taking over this hotel?

Maybe the new "management" or owners will be overhauling it, so no reservations are being taken.

I agree. It sounds like the new management is planning to close it for a little while to make some changes so it would be responsible not to take reservations during that time.

But at a certain point if a a company doesn’t want your money it might be a sign to move on

Oh nooooo!! Hotel Diana has been my go-to spot for the past several years. I was last there in June 2022 - I’d emailed them in February as there didn’t appear to be a vacancy. They asked what type of room I needed and when — and I was able to book it. When I was there they told me that they were moving away from tourists for clientele and focusing on business guests. I’m heartbroken to think it will turn into another unaffordable “fancy” Paris hotel.

“it seems that they are not interested in giving it out”.

I do not know why you would assume that. It’s more likely they do not know.

If investors bought it, there will be no one to make a reservation with until the reno is done and they market it.

I’m sorry to hear of the change. I could always rely on Hotel Diana and enjoyed Theresa, the owner. I’ll be interested to see what the new owners do.

Sometimes in transactions, the parties are not allowed to provide information of the type you are seeking to third parties. There are many reasons why the future owner/manager may not want their identity disclosed until the transaction is closed or at a later date. I'm sure that there are people who know but I doubt that any are on this forum and if they are, they are probably prohibited from telling us.
