I'm planning a first trip to Paris over New Years ... Has anyone ever stayed at the Hotel College de France? It is in the 5th- is that a good area to stay in? Any responses or other lodging suggestions welcome. Would like to stay under 150 euros per night. Many Thanks!

I have not stayed there.. but I would.. although if staying there in july or august consider it has no air conditioning. I would stay in hotel however any other time as I know where it is and its a great convenient and central location.
If you want similar price and area.. but are going in summer and want a/c consider the Hotel Diana or Hotel Eugenie.. even the Hotel St Pierre( the one on Rue Ecole du Medicine.. there are few hotels with similar names) .. it is a budget pick.. small small rooms. but has a/c and great location .
