We are on the BOE-21 and end the trip in Paris at the Hotel Beaugency. We've sent emails and web site contact requestes trying to add extra days. It's been over a week, and no one has responded. Has anyone else run into this problem? Starting to wonder if I need to find another hotel for the extra days.
did you check if the reply wound up in your spam filter?
Yes - always review spam folder. No posts there.
Hmm, that is weird. I've usually had prompt replies from them. I'll be there this week if you'd like me to check with them?
That would be great. Will try to track down a phone number and appropriate time to call them later this week too.
I also wrote to them multiple times (several weeks ago), and when I did not hear back, booked elsewhere (after verifying replies did not land in spam folder).
Brian, I just PM'd you.
BTW, I just usually book extra nights for a tour hotel on the hotel's website. I usually put a note in the comments saying I am with a RS tour and hopefully will be able to stay in the same room.
The 21 Day is a wonderful, wonderful tour! I'm sure both of you will enjoy it!
Going to the web site and booking the nights is definitely one option we are considering. The thought of calling long distance international was the other, but not really thinking this would be helpful.
Most of the staff at reception during the day speak pretty good English. The guys on the night shift do not, so I'd definitely call between 9A and say...6P France time if you decide to call. The day shift seems to work 12 hours -7 or 730 to 7 or 730.
My wife took your idea Pam and ran with it. We booked the hotel with a comment that we are part of the tour. Hopefully they can put the two reservations together.
Oh yes, they should easily be able to do that. I'm glad you are set!
I know Rick suggests to email the hotel but honestly they are all used to doing online reservations and it's just so much easier.
They were very quick to reply last year when I requested one additional night. It was just recently I requested a second additional night and did not hear back after multiple inquiries spaced out over a couple of weeks. In the end, it’s okay, as now I’m nearer to the station I’ll be departing from, as well as the activity I have planned for that day (ha! I may be too wiped out by then :) we’ll see how it goes).
