Hotel at CDG (Paris Airport) recommendation

Flying in from Verona, Italy to Paris on a Saturday night in October. Fly out Sunday morning to the States. Anyone have a one-night low-cost recommendation for a hotel. Don't want to go into Paris because last time we flew out of CDG to SEA we stayed in Paris the night before. Nearly missed our flights because it took 3 hours to drive to airport, get through the mess and to our airplane. Won't do that again. And did I mention it cost nearly $100 for the pleasure. We will have already spent 2 weeks in France so it's okay if we don't go into Paris again.

There is an Ibis at CDG I have stayed a couple of times. Not expensive and perfect for one night

I second Norma's recommendation. The Ibis couldn't be more convenient. You walk a few feet, and there is the shuttle that moves from terminal to terminal. Just be sure you book the correct Ibis. There are two listed on their website as being in Roissy. The other also has bus transport to the airport, but why stay there when you can actually be right at the airport?

We are doing the same thing, early am flight home in September. We are staying at Citizen M at the airport. Have not stayed at this particular one before but we did stay at the Citizen M in Amsterdam and loved it. Small room but very modern, updated and right at the airport so no worries. I hear good things about the one at CDG so hoping it will be as good as the one in Amsterdam. Plus, the cost is right as well. Good luck and happy travels!

We've stayed at the Ibis at CDG several times. Inexpensive, basic room, but it's always been fine. Good free WiFi, too. We've also stayed at Novotel, but it's quite a bit more expensive. Just be sure to book the Ibis on site at the airport. You won't even need a shuttle - just a short walk to the train within the airport.

I've stayed at the Citizen M at CDG and it was great. Ask for a runway side room and you can watch the planes:) We also had the breakfast that was very nice.

Be sure to sign up for their "citizens" program which is their rewards program - it is free and it gets you a discount on the room rate. I book directly on their site.

There's also a Hilton, it's one of those older ones that has the interior atrium that eventually angles into the uppermost floor. Many flight crews stay there, it's right next to the terminal shuttle. You can probably find deals on a big place like this and/or use or earn miles. We stayed there because, like you, we didn't want to deal with traffic for a morning flight. It worked out wonderfully.

We stayed at the Hilton and at the Novotel -- hated the Hilton. At any rate don't eat at the Hilton -- maybe the worst restaurant in Europe. It is certainly the worst meal we have had traveling.

What we usually do if we stay at the airport is train into Paris for dinner and a last stroll by the Seine before training back to be at the airport for the flight out the next morning.

There are several Ibis and Novotels in the vicinity of CDG, so when you book (Accor Hotels website) be sure the word "terminal" is in the name. For example, Novotel CDG Terminal. These hotels couldn't be more convenient.

We liked the Ibis too -- the one right in the airport. Clean, comfortable, nothing fancy, very convenient.

The aeroport website's maps show hotels in terminals and on the property. http://www.aeroportsdeparis.fr/en/homepage
The village of Roissy, technically the aeroport's home, houses a cluster of hotels connected by a short ride on shuttle buses to Terminal 2. Some are operated by the Accor chain, which includes Ibis. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/booking/hotels-list.shtml
That site includes hotels for the convention centre which is not so close to the airport, so shop with care.

We stayed at Citizen M at CDG last month and it was perfect. Huge bed, breakfast buffet, and an easy walk to the airport.

My vote goes to Sheraton CDG for the convenience and quality. I stayed there for one night last month and nothing beats having the hotel right at terminal 2E where most international flights fly out of. It's a higher tier Sheraton so the quality is superior with very nice design and amenities (sauna/steam, etc). The downside is the price. It is pricy to spend over 250 Euro / night for an overnight stay at an airport. It was worthwhile for me for the time/energy saved. The food is ridiculously expensive at Sheraton. A simple room service meal for one would cost more than 50 Euro. Not sure how it is compared to other 4 star airport hotels.

I've also stayed at the Hilton. The hotel itself is nice but it's not close enough to reach by foot. Having to wait for shuttle does take away from the convenience.

We stayed at the airport Ibis on July 3rd before flying back to the states the next day. As others have said, you can not beat its convience, price, small clean room, we purchased breakfast for 10E each which was a huge buffet, good restaurant, join the ibis hotel program before you go so that you can use the express check-in line and avoid what was a long line when we checked in.

I don't work for Hilton honest, but just want to re-mention that it was a fine one-night stay. And you walk 5 minutes to catch the inter-terminal shuttle train so it's a cinch.

Last October, we stayed at the Ibis Budget Roissy CDG Paris Nord 2, which gets my vote as the longest hotel name ever... It was less than half an hour on the shuttle to get to/from the airport; we chose it because the airport Ibis was significantly more expensive when we booked [which turned out to be at the end of a big convention nearby]. The shuttle circulated every 20 minutes and was quite easy, even coming off our transatlantic flight. The Ibis worked well for us; small room, reminiscent of a cruise cabin, but perfectly adequate, and a good buffet breakfast for around 10 euros per person. If you don't want to go into Paris for dinner, there's a Grill Courtepaille and a Hippopotamus a short walk from the hotel.

My husband and I have stayed at the Citizen M twice and love it! We are staying again first October and love the food, room and cost is low. We literally just find the terminal and walk accross the street to get there. Our next stay only costs us 98.00 that's cheap for CDG.

Happy traveling
