Has anyone stayed at the Andre Gill? It's in Rick's Paris book, and EuroCheapo likes it. It's significantly less costly than the Paris and the Heart of France tour hotel, the B-Montmartre - like €87 per night cheaper!
I know that the tour hotel will be much nicer, but as I mentioned in another post, we don't care about elevators or air conditioning. Clean, quiet, and convenient are what we look for.
The reviews on Trip Advisor and Booking.com are almost all favorable, with several comments that the place needs refurbishing. Location, cleanliness, and friendly staff are the main positive points. Small rooms, needs updated, are the most common negatives. The ratings are better than mid-range - 3.5 out of 5 on TA; 7.3 out of 10 on Booking.
So, has anyone here had any experiences, good or bad, with the Andre Gill?
