Hot in Paris

Just to let you all know, I am in Paris now and it is hot and sunny! Wear shorts and bring sunscreen, I am sunburned! Coming from South FL, I didn't expect this.

Sorry about this one … but it sounds like you got French fried. 😂 Really, sorry to hear that you got singed - hope it doesn’t hurt too much, and you’re back to 100% very soon. Do you have A/C where you’re staying?

The heads-up is great advice for anybody coming in the next few days. Wonder if this is shades of summer to come?

I believe that precipitation enters into the weather picture this week. Enjoy the sun while you can.

And on Friday the forecast is for 82 degrees and a half inch of rain. Weird.

Cyn, not too worry. I am not burned badly. Just meant to warn others.

I am in Bayeux and yesterday was warm and sunny - 26 degrees, but we usually get weather like this when we have travelled to France at this time of year previously. There was torrential rain on Sunday which we don’t normally get.

Paris cools down at night. It was 85 yesterday ad our apartment did get pretty hot (although putting shutters up in the morning and closing up helps) but after the sun went down, it cooled off fine for sleeping. Alas, with windows open it gets very. noisy -- so bring ear plugs too ifyou don't have AC you will need windows open at night.

And today is projected to be the hottest day of the week. Ugh, I hate it.

Janet is right though, at least it is not the kind of heat that stays uncomfortable at night. That is the absolute worst.

Quick question-What is the humidity like there? I am from NC where "it is not the heat ,It is the Humidity" is our mantra.

Humidity - 60%
High today - 27° (80° F)

Much cooler the rest of the week, with moderate to light rain through Friday. Cool on the weekend.

Sounds very normal. 80F sunny in Paris is more bothersome than 90F in Sacramento and Fresno.

in addition to the temperature, be aware that the air quality in Paris is generally bad. didn't expect that. so if you have breathing concerns, monitor the air quality as your trip approaches and take necessary precautions.

We are in Bordeaux right now. Wednesday was 91 degrees and that sun was a blazing….but blue skies make a beautiful backdrop for the lovely architecture! Thursday rain is expected and we will be on wine tours 😳

We traveled the last week of April and first week on May and got lucky with amazing weather. We had an hour of rain in 15 days. I’d rather deal with rain than heat which is why I always travel in April and the end if September.
