I'll be taking a day trip by bus from Bayeux to Honfleur, via Caen. Is it worth taking then a "side" trip to see the Etretat cliffs for a few hours? If so, is there convenient & regular bus service to and from Honfleur to Etretat? ty
Can't help you on transport but the cliffs are pretty amazing.

Definitely worth it if you can swing it.
I don't think there is a direct bus line between Honfleur and Etretat. Bus lines for Etretat exist but they leave from Le Havre. The journey from Le Havre to Etretat takes just under an hour.
It is definitely worth going to Etretat, but we had a rental car. We drove from Honfleur to Sainte Adresse to Etretat and ended at Giverny.
However, if this is just one day from Bayeux to Honfleur, you will find plenty to do in Honfleur. I wouldn't take a half day away to go to Etretat because you won't have near enough time for charming Honfleur.
