honeymoon suite in Paris

I'm sure this has probably already been touched upon but I'm afraid I got lost scrolling through the pages of topics finding new strings to read on each page and not accomplishing my goal in the process. Cliché as it may be, I am honeymooning in Paris and my bride-to-be wants a romantic room, complete with hot tub. This challenge is complicated by the reality that here ... in Little Rock, AR - such suites are available very affordably. Does such a place exist in a nice neighborhood of Paris?

Not a hot tub, but the apartment we rented in Paris this week had a Jacuzzi tub (for one)
PM me for details. We loved the location near Luxembourg Garden but you might want something more traditionally romantic than a self-catering unit.

Paris is mega expensive, but offers terrific romantic locations. Please consider renting an apt to gain savings over a hotel (you can do it as alot of good expertise on the subject can be found online) and then use the savings to savor romantic adventures. Seriously, the hot tub is over rated and since it can be done back home why focus on it abroad?

I don't have a recommendation to fit your request. The romantic hotel amenities that would be easier to find in Paris, for a price, would include a more spacious or a quieter room, a view or small balcony, or a higher degree of elegance. A location convenient to sightseeing priorities (or to the Metro) is a valuable feature for any traveler, and reduces the amount of time and energy you might spend in transit. Affordable romance can be found on an evening river cruise, a park picnic, or sunset view of the city (including the Eiffel Tower, not necessarily from the top of the Eiffel tower).

If money is no object, have a look at the Georges V on ave George's V. Very posh and honeymoon perfect. I, of course, have never been in the place.

This is the first time I've ever seen a request for a hot tub in Paris. Maybe someone knows of one, but you are more likely to have romantic moments, as Laura has described, rather than a hot tub. Would not having a hot tub be a deal breaker, or will she be happy with a nice hotel and romantic moments with you? Frankly, Paris is romantic enough that she won't miss the hot tub.

Maybe some posters can suggest romantic hotels.

Okay drd, I'll say it: Wanting to honeymoon in Paris is not cliche, however, demanding a room with a hot tub just might be. A really nice hotel room will do the trick, I suspect, along with some research into great restaurants. Refer to the itinerary as Hot Tubs; "today our hot tub is The Louvre", "tomorrow our hot tub is Versailles", etc. You may have to remind your bride that we're not in Little Rock anymore.
I'd suggest checking Trip Advisor for hotel reviews, do some good research and find just the right place. The Georges V would probably knock her socks off.

Try Hôtel Champs Élysées Plaza. They have Jacuzzis in some of their most expensive suites. BTW, this hotel is great and not as pricey as some others with similar amenities.

Well Paris is not Little Rock and hot tub honeymoon suites are almost unheard of .. in fact. personally I have never heard of them there.. but I am sure they do exist. Paris does not need to make a honeymoon suite romantic but putting folks in tubs of hot water.. Paris IS the romance itself.

Suggest bride open her eyes to the real romance of a honeymoon in Paris.. . ask her if she would be interested in a candle lit dinner cruise for instance.. and point out the romance of picnicking in a park,, or walking hand in hand along the Seine.. not cheesy room features.

And yes.. Paris is likely ALOT more expensive then where you live. Its a world class tourist and business travel destination.. a decent budget-moderate room in a central location is going to run about 100-150 EUROS a night.. I have done cheaper and also paid a bit more.. I think if it was my honeymoon I would try and push budget a bit harder.. maybe 140-200 a night.. but plenty of people love Paris and pay less. In Paris the hotel is not usually the destination.. hotels ( unless super high end) do not have pools and gyms etc.. they are to sleep in , change clothes in, not destination resorts.

Many here can suggest some nice hotels.. clean. well located.. and some with very cute "romantic" rooms. I know the Hotel Des Grand Hommes has some very nice VIEW type rooms that she may like.. views of the Pantheon.. but there are also many many others. I liked the deluxe rooms at the Hotel Le Regent as the area was so cute.. narrow streets lined with shops and cafes surround you.. but perhaps your gf likes a different atmosphere.. Does she like modern or tradition décor.. ( don't worry.. any hotel I have stayed in.. even the cheap ones have modern plumbing etc... lol ) .. does she like wide boulevards or the cute narrow streets..

I don't think it's cliche, I think it's romantic! I'll be spending two days of my honeymoon in Paris (the rest on the Cote D'Azure and Provence). Personally, my top choice would have been to stay in one of the hotels on the Ile Ste Louis. It doesn't get more romantic. A beautiful hotel. On an island. In the middle of Paris. On an island... Book early though, I didn't start my search early enough and everything in my price range is already booked. My second choice ended up being the Saint Germain de Pres neighborhood, and I found a very cute little hotel that I hope lives up to my imagination. :-)

To make up for the lack of hot tub, take her to a nice spa, followed by visit to a chocolatier, and then an evening at the finest restaurant you can afford. Guaranteed to surpass all her expectations (and possibly your budget).

Even when money is no object you will find it extremely difficult to come across a suite in a hotel with an actual hot tub for two in Paris. Plaza Athenee shows photos of their suites on Booking.com at the bargain rate of just over $13,000 per night and all they can offer for that price is a bath tub with spa jets (albeit, it comes with a lovely full-on view of the Eiffel Tower and Dior toiletries). Remind your bride-to-be that one can get "romantic" standing up in a shower stall in a Paris hotel room that is far cheaper and then promise to take her to the Poconos to one of those retro 1970s resorts that still advertises in-room hot tubs shaped like champagne glasses or hearts and circular beds that rotate. Now if only I could find an affordable hotel room with a water bed and a view of the London Eye...

May I suggest that you look at options at expedia.com together since that site posts them in US dollars? Together you can get an idea of how much your budget will buy you in Paris vs. other locations thru the room photos, etc.. Then neither of you will be disappointed when you arrive - starting your honeymoon on a positive note. : )

thanks so much to you all for your helpful responses, I feel a little better prepared, and have full confidence that all will be fabulous, after all -it is Paris.

A whirlpool tub you can get anywhere and, let's face it, you don't have much chance of seeing the Eiffel tower over the bubbles anyhow. It would be more romantic, I think, to splash out on French restaurants. For instance, the venerable Le Train Bleu, in the Gare de Lyon station, is so lavishly decorated that even Hallmark might blush. The food is competent, though never adventurous, the service old-fashioned smooth, and for $100 each you will even get a decent amount of wine and the most varied cheese platter I've ever seen. It's too vast to be intimate, and there is more interesting cuisine at that price elsewhere. But no ambience is sweeter. http://www.le-train-bleu.com/uk/index.php
