We will be in Paris for May 1st, Labour Day, and May 8th, Victory in Europe Day!
I believe much is closed. Can anyone tell us what will be happening? We are thinking of the Restaurant Bus for the evening of the 1st. This may or may not be a good decision! Thank you - love all these questions and posts - learn so much from you!

Assume everything is closed May 1 unless you know otherwise; there will be many restaurants and cafes open. Asks your hotel to help with a reservation. May 8th is nothing. Offices are closed, but the things that affect tourists, grocery stores, museums, restaurants etc are unaffected. You won't notice it. No opinion about the bus meal -- it doesn't appeal to me at all but I have heard others say they love it.
