Holiday Stay in Alsace

Hello!

I am planning a 3-4 night trip in early December to the Alsace region. Interested in Colmar, Kaysersberg, Turkheim, Ribeauville, etc. I will be driving in from Lausanne. Does anyone have any great hotel recommendations? Would also love to hear about your favorite restaurants. Any info at all would be appreciated.

I previously spent 2 days in this area in September 2018 and have been longing to go back for the holidays and Christmas Markets.

Thanks so much!

Hotel l’Oriel on Riquewihr was very convenient and accommodating. We loved staying in this wine village.

In December 2019 we spent 5 nights in Colmar and did day trips to nearby places like Kaysersberg. It was a great trip! My suggestion would be to base in Colmar because it's larger with more lodging and restaurant choices. We actually stayed at an airbnb in the Little Venice neighborhood and felt it was a great area - with many good restaurant choices. None of our meals blew my mind but we did enjoy the restaurants we selected (was with a small group of friends so I don't recall the names - sorry). The towns with Christmas Markets were crowded but I don't know about this year. Might be nice to see the places without the crowds. Have fun!

Aimee and KBK, would you mind posting the name of the AirBnB in Colmar? I am now looking for May 2022.

I have an Airbnb booked for April in the Little Venise area. I can’t wait!
