Historical Tour in Lyon

Following a May RS Best of Eastern France tour my husband I will be visiting Lyon. I have been looking for a tour guide for a historical tour of Lyon. I've reached out to Virginie More, but sadly she is not available as she will be guiding a RS tour during that time. The person she recommended has not responded to my email. Anyone have a suggestion for a tour guide, or even a tour company for a tour in Lyon?

Thanks!

We were just in Lyon and while we did not hire a tour guide, we did take a food tour, the Lyon Old Town Food tour. They are associated with the official Office of Tourism. So you may want to contact them for suggestions. They do offer low-cost tours.

Also, the Lyon City Card was a great offer so depending on how many days you'll be there, you'll want to check it out. We also took others' suggestions to ride the City Tram through the Croix-Rousse district. A good value and discounted with the City Card. Or take Rick's suggestion to take the metro to Croix-Rousse and walk down. Still, there are seemingly millions of steps down.....

Happy travels

Thank you very much for this information. It was very helpful, and we have already booked a food tour and plan to get the Lyon City Card.
