We will be in Sarlat for 5 days leaving September 20. We have an afternoon flight from Bordeaux airport. There doesn’t seem to be a train that works out.I want to hire a car/driver to drive us there. Does anyone have experience doing this or have recommendations as to a service to contact? Merci’!

I highly recommend Taxi and Touring ala Carte. I found them via the RS France book. Christoff is the owner and he is a delightful guide/driver. We used him for 3 days! Pick up and drop off from Bordeaux to Sarlat (stopped in St Emilion for wine tasting, then an all day tour the next day. On the third day, he dropped us off in Bayonne so we can join our RS Basque tour.

To be able to compare, Claudette should say how much she paid.
According to official taxi fares, the maximum price for a weekday taxi from Sarlat-la-Canéda to Bordeaux airport should not exceed approximately €450.
