Hi- anyone done any hiking In Albertville? Wondering if there are trails right out of town or some trailheads accessible by local bus service. Thx!

Hoping this is not too late for you...
Right out of town, you will not find much. You can walk up to the old walled town of Conflans, and further up to the Fort du Mont. That's probably the most interesting way to go.
Otherwise you can take the bus towards Lake Annecy and hike from Duingt, either up the mountain ridge to the south, or along the lakeshore (parts are shared with a biking trail). And I am pretty sure that there is public transport to Beaufort as well, where you would have more options - but I do not know too much about that.

Hi! Thx for info. We did end up getting a car as we’d been navigating public transits in thecUK and Lyon for 4 weeks and we felt like having a car would provide more freedom and convenience. That being said, the newer and free Nature Navette would have served us well. It went up and down the valley/mountains to various towns and resorts where one could access trailheads. We had a great visit!
