I’m looking to drive from Toulouse France to Zaragoza, Spain later this year how good or how bad is the drive is there anything I should be aware of. Thank You
If you are claustrophobic , you may not be thrilled
BUT, it does look like the kind of drive that would be enjoyable, as long as you have allowed a reasonable amount of time
No personal experience
Just hope you don’t get stuck behind an R.V!
No worries for this trip especially out of winter season.
It is rather at the Spanish border that claustrophobia could be an issue:
It’s been years, but for the most part it’s an easy drive. I drove the route past Foix to Andorra, then into Spain. The route over to Pau, then down to Zaragoza probably isn’t much different. The roads from Estación de Canfranc by the French border to Zaragoza are fine. I drove those roads a couple years ago. There will be mountain driving so expect slower speeds going through them. At times the road will be 2 lanes each direction, but in many places it will be one lane each direction.
There are plenty of nice places to stop and visit, at least in Spain, en route. Once you decide on a route look for places to visit that are of interest to you.
