Highly Recommend Virtual Reality tour of Notre Dame

I found this through the Rick Steve’s update for the Paris guidebook. Thank you!

I was nervous about putting on virtual reality glasses, but all went well. The staff explained everything clearly in English. They set up avatars for me and my friend, so we could see each other as we walked through the exhibit, following an avatar guide. The path was clearly marked with a blue box to stand in and when I got off track, it led me back. Red “walls” kept me from bumping into obstacles.

We got to “see” Rose windows and the belfry up close . An enjoyable and memorable 45 minute tour. Thanks for the recommendation, Rick!

I agree 100%. It is a super cool experience, and it is absolutely mind-boggling how complete the illusion is and what a rich world they have created for you to experience. I absolutely loved it.

And I’m going to warn you that if you are scared of heights, you may not be able to do it. It’s well done it’s gorgeous it’s great. I completely freaked out after the third platform up to the sky with no safety wall. I took the thing off in tears, just a warning
