High speed train from Paris to Bordeaux

Hi,my name is mike and my wife and I have made reservations for the Hotel Duquesne Eiffel Tower for may. We then need to book the high speed train to Bordeaux on may 16th. How ever, the website given us by the Hotel Duquesne Eiffel Tower (sncf) will not allow our phone number to be used. I called sncf, and was told that the website was only for Europe. They said use rail Europe and that website would not allow us to enter our dates. Please tell me how to successfully book a high speed train to Bordeaux. I don't see why the Hotel Duquesne Eiffel Tower can't do that since they have all of our information already. Merci

I would find it strange that a hotel in Paris would buy train tickets for you. You could also look at buying through www.thetrainline.com. They do charge a couple of percent commission, mainly to cover the credit card transaction fees.

Hotels may provide a lot of services but buying train is not one of them. RailEurope is a travel agency selling rail tickets. It is not a train company. Go to SNCF.com. That is the French railroad system's web site. Get your schedule info there and buy tickets. Trainline is also a travel agency but a little easier to work with via the internet.

Yeah I buy tickets on https://en.oui.sncf/en/ all the time from Chicago and registered on the platform. You don't need a phone number to buy a ticket. And ordering train tickets is not something I've seen hotels do as they need that 3 digit code on the back of the credit card

What strange advice. I've bought tickets for that same route a couple of times, once via the SNCF web site and once via Trainline's predecessor. Trainline had no fee then, but my understanding is that their current fee isn't too high.
