Hi, all:
We need to get from Dijon to Paris' Gare de Lyon on August 5th. Looking at the SNCF website there are two options: TGV inOui and TGV Lyria. Is there a difference between the two services?
Thank you!
InOui operates high speed trains almost exclusively within France. Lyria operates high speed trains between Paris and Switzerland . InOui has 2 classes. Lyria has 3. Otherwise they are similar.
Yes. there is.
TGV inOui is SNCF's standard premium domestic high-speed service. TGV Lyria is an international train on their way from Switzerland to Paris.
Roughly no difference in standard class.
inOui features a buffet car (bar). Because Lyria caters highly to international and business travelers, the seating configurations in Première (=1st class) often have slightly more legroom and a specific premium atmosphere.
Lyria also offers an exclusive "Business Première" section for ultimate comfort and flexibility.
Tickets can sometimes be priced differently.
Thank you!
Very helpful replies.
You will notice that TGV Lyria is usually more expensive. This because SNCF wants to discourage people to use that for Dijon - Paris trips. Every Dijon - Paris ticket is after all one less Basel or Zurich to Paris ticket they can sell.
