Hidden Gems in Avignon & Arles & Aix?

Hi.

Just wondering what lesser known (hidden gems) there may be in Avignon, Arles and Aix during the spring/summer months.
I'm heading there and will cover the top touristy attractions related to art, architecture and places of beauty - but wonder what lesser known places there may be that you'd suggest.

Thanks!

Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, across the river from Avignon, is worth a visit: the Chartreuse, the Philippe le Bel tower, and the Fort St André are all lovely, and overlooked by most visitors. And the streets in between are very charming.

Near Arles, if you have a car, you can get up close to the Roman acqueduct of Barbegal. It is very informative and very cool.

Near Aix...not much is hidden these days, this is a large urban area after all. Maybe Ansouis, if you travel towards the Luberon (with a car)? Or the Camp des Milles for somber WWII history.

Thank you, Lee, for posting this question!
Balso, thank you for your ideas! We are traveling to this region this spring, and I'm also seeking hidden gems. We will likely be using public transportation - but might rent a car for a part of the trip.

I'll be following this thread. :-)

The Camp des Milles is accessible by public bus from central Aix. The memorial/museum there is very well done. Some of the displays are in the basement, and it was very chilly down there even on a hot summer day; visitors should have some sort of warm layer of clothing with them.
