We rented a Hertz car in Bordeaux. As we arrived at the end of the day because our flight was delayed, our prepaid vehicle was rented and there was only a more expensive car to rent- twice the price.
We noticed a flaw in the tire two days into our trip. No one had looked over the car with us and the rental office closed once we were given the keys. We were nervous about the condition of the tire but no one responded to our calls, messages, and social media messages. We wondered what would have happened if the tire had a blow out.
I would not rent from Hertz in Europe again.
