Does anyone have specific directions on how to get to the Hertz rental office in the Gare de l'Est in Paris?
It's very hard to find and I forget how I have in the past. Even the people who work there aren't sure, at least not the ones I've asked. It's somewhere down below.
Burned into my memory after it took us 45 minutes to find -- entrance to Hertz is down a small driveway on the right side of the station as you face the main station entrance, Hertz sign is very clear from not more that 10 feet away (if you are walking -- we missed it on several circumnavigations of the station.) Garage entrance is at street level, below the station itself.

I do remember that exit/entrance for cars: the little driveway on the right side of the Gare (with the very small sign) and I guess that's how we finally got into the office as well to pick up the car. I'll give it a whirl, we're going over to scout it out a few days before we actually need to pick up the car.
I notice on the map that Budget is listed as being right there, I think they all are, Hertz included. It's the getting in to the office that's the challenge. ;)
