help with train and Navigo card

I am planning to get the family Navigo cards upon arrival in Paris. I already have our photos ready to go. We are planning a day at Disneyland Paris. It is my understanding the train ride from Paris to Disneyland on the RER A is covered with the Navigo card.
What I am looking for help on is how do I get that train ticket? Is there is ticket agent I show the Navigo card to, or just a turnstile type entrance I swipe through? Any clarification on this process would be much appreciated.

Are you arriving by airplane at CDG? You can buy them at the RER station(s) at the airport. At CDG terminal 2, it is the same ticket line as to buy TGV tickets. You scan them to open the gates to enter RER and Metro stations or when you board a bus. On the RER, you must also scan them at your destination station to open the exit gates. Very easy.

Beginning July 28 to August 26, the RER A line though central Paris will be shut down for track rebuilding, so you may need to take an alternate route. Use the Route Planner at:

Thank you Sam. Yes, coming in through CDG. Luckily we are going to DLP on July 27th ! We will miss the re-route.

The ND will take you anywhere in the Ile de France (Versailles, Fontainebleu, Disney, Provins etc. As noted for the metro and local RER you swipe the pass on a pink swirly patch on the turnstile when entering (and exiting on the RER but not the metro). If you are at a train station in the countryside you may find that there is no stile to enter the platform but you still need to validate the pass by finding a post with that pink swirly thing on it and swiping it there. Failure to do so will result in a fine if you are checked by the agent on the train. If you have an ND the fine is only 5 Euro or so for not validating but it would still be annoying. Most of the time on trains even long distance TER trains, tickets are not checked; this is why fines are so high -- they just sample so many times people could ride without valid tickets and not be caught. The fines are high enough to discourage that.

FWIW. you just tap the card and go through the turnstile; once you do that the card will not open a gate for many minutes to avoid two people using it.

keep your eyes open for the tap in post. It will be there, lots of people will be using it, they are placed to be in your way as you are going to the train.

You are not doing anything on the train itself but standing or sitting, just before the train.

What is unclear about 'you find a post with the pink. swirly symbol on it and swipe there' -- you don't 'show the ticket to anyone' - you validate it. RER station usually have stiles to enter the platform; some TER type trains don't in the countryside. If someone checks on the train they will have a device to see if you validated your pass before boarding -- sometimes they will just look at it and not check.
