Help Please...buying tickets for Louvre

Good morning....

My only result after dozens of tries is : "payment not accepted". However, there is no rejection from my cards, I guess the Louvre does not like my money?

I have set up a different accounts, tried on Mac and PC, tried different cards etc, with no luck.

Is there a secret I do not know about?

Thank you

It might be your email address. Are you using a standard one like GMail or Yahoo? I’ve seen reports here of people having issues with something like Comcast or spectrum, etc.

Fingers crossed for you! It’s a fabulous museum.

Amex cards have this security standard.

Just be warned. If you try too many times with different cards, the ticketing website will lock you out and not allow you to try to purchase again.

What also worked for US customers was creating a virtual credit card through Privacy.com. You can link it to your bank account and it gives you a credit card number, expiration date, and security code to use.

I just bought Louvre tickets for my daughter and grandson with a capital one card on line -- it ran it through a capital one security protocol where I had to input a code sent to my phone -- but it worked smoothly.

Where are you from, and where are you when you're trying to purchase the tickets? I never have problems when buying tickets with my US credit card while in the US. But sometimes, when buying tickets while in France, the purchase gets rejected. Sometimes a retry works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't know why, although others here have offered some possible reasons. Perhaps you could try a Tabac kiosk? Yes, they'll charge a commission, but at least you'll have your tickets.
