Thank you

Or, smaller cup: Un café crème, s'il vous plaît.

Actually, it's espresso, but my "go to".

Happy, is there a way to specify extra hot? Bien chaud, perhaps? I find European coffee tends to be rather tepid.

Thanks.

Shouldn't it be more like
Bonjour! Un café crème, tres chaud, s'il vous plaît.
Merci, Au Revoir!*

Note that you'll get milk, not cream, despite the "café crème" name.
Cream basically isn't served with coffee in 2025 France.

It’s called crème because the top has a tiny bit of that foamy stuff…per the waiter at a café I frequent. But as balso said, it’s milk.

If you want your coffee stronger, say "serré" (tight).

Un café crème serré, s'il vous plaît

The other poster is correct - both cafe creme and grand creme are coffee with hot milk.

Wanderbug is exactly right! Always start with Bonjour and end with Merci.

The D in grand is silent.
