Help on location again please?

Hi! I posted a few days ago with a rental I had found to see if the location was good. The consensus was that the location was good, but the lack of AC was not.

I found an Aparthotel that fits our needs with AC in every room at HotelHome Paris 16. It's in the 16th arrondissement, is this location ideal with kids?

The other rental was in the 5th, near Jardin du Luxembourg, which I loved. But this hotel in the 16th looks nice, has AC and I'm reading the 16th is great for families. But is it as easily accessible by foot and close to Metro to get around?

The 16th is past the Eiffel Tower, a ways from central Paris. Only you can determine whether it’s close to a metro stop, based on its location.

I’ve stayed at Citadines St. Germain, which is a great location. Large rooms with kitchenettes and ac. Not sure if they have anything that would work for your family.

Thank you, I've seen that place and, unfortunately, it only accommodate 4 people maximum. Having 5 does limit us in accommodation options for sure

If you stay there you'll likely be using the metro to get around. There's a stop not far from HotelHome Paris 16. The name of the station is Jasmine, on line 9. You'll then most likely be changing trains to get where you want to go.
Riding on the metro can be challenging but also interesting. If you haven't already, you should familiarize yourself with the basics. My then 11 year old granddaughter showed me how to open the doors (if no one else has already done so) at a stop. After we got off, I asked her how she knew what to do. She told me "I just watched what the other people were doing."
I don't know the 16th, nor the place you're looking at. But I think it's important that you like where you stay. You'll start and end every day there. My experience is that most people will struggle to enjoy even a great destination if they don't like where they're staying.
Here's what Paris.Net says about the 16th arrondissement: "the 16th is widely regarded as the neighborhood for the wealthy. The areas around rue de Passy and Place Victor Hugo offer upscale shopping and the Place de Trocadéro offers a splendid view of the Eiffel Tower from its trendy cafes." Interpreting that as a parent and grandparent, it seems to say the neighborhood won't be rowdy or rough, which is what I'd want for your childrens' ages.
I hope you have a great time.

I stay in an area served by line 9 of the métro and I'll say that this line is a pretty good one for getting around to the places you'll naturally want to see as a tourist. It stops at Trocadero (Eiffel Tower), Franklin D. Roosevelt (Champs Elysées and an easy walk to the Louvre), Chaussé D'Antin (the grand magazins) and Voltaire if you want to visit Père Lachaise.

You could do worse.

As others have said, it's a bit removed from most of the usual Paris sites and won't really be convenient for stopping by during the day. Plan on a minimum 30-40 minutes via bus or metro to most places.

Go to Google Maps and take a look at the neighborhood to see what your options are for nearby patisseries, cafes, restaurants and groceries.

Are you able to book an apartment with 2 toilet/shower rooms. If not, I would suggest 2 hotel rooms in a better location with access to 2 bathrooms for 5 people.
