Almost 25 years ago I spent time at a beautiful hotel perched on the side of a cliff over looking the Mediterranean and Monte Carlo. It was NOT in Eze. We traveled up a steep mountain road through a few small, quaint villages to reach it. The views from the hotel, rooms and pool area were magnificent. I am going back to the area soon and have spent hours searching the internet for this hotel. Does anyone know of this wonderful place and if it still exists?

There is a hotel sort of like this in Roquebrun Cap Martin in the old village up the hill. It is a ways from Monaco but the view is of the bay and Monaco. I don't know if they have a pool as we stayed in an apartment in this village.

Have you tried google maps. Look at towns about where you think you were and then look for hotels in each town till you spot it? You could pick the town and then just ask for 'hotels nearby'. It is not a huge area and a finite number of hotels.
