HELP!! Credit card for TCV train ticket stolen - how to pick up??

I booked tickets for my family of four from Paris to Geneva through voyages - sncf and my credit card just got stolen. How can I pick my tickets up? I know I need to use that exact same credit card. I don't know what to do! My train leaves on July 7th. I can provide proof of police report and my credit card statement with the train fee charged back in April.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

This happened to a friend two years ago. SNCf made her buy new tix, but gave her original rate and in 3 mos. they sent her a full refund on the unused tix. Are you already there? If still at home, maybe add a statement for the card showing the number.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. This exact same thing happened to me. I had booked all my tix through my credit card and it was stolen the day before my trip. Since I had no time to address the problem before I left home, I ended up having to purchase new tickets at a rail station in France and just eat the cost. Even though I speak fairly good French and explained everything, there was nothing that a ticket agent could do on the spot. You have the time so you should immediately contact SNCF, ask for an English speaking agent, and explain the situation. At best, they may be able to cancel your seats and quickly rebook them with your new credit card. At worst, you'll have to purchase new tickets. Contact SNCF ASAP.

Thanks everyone for your help. I have emailed them and they haven't responded so I posted here. I'll let you know what they say if they get back to me. I'll bring the police report, my bank statement with the original ticket charge, of course, my passport for identification. Is there anything else I can do? I plan to go in person and speak to an English agent. I don't mind having it refunded in a few months. I just don't want to lose all that money for no reason.

After having all my cards and cash stolen, this situation really stings. But I really appreciate all your suggestions!

Do you have the email from SNCF showing your purchase- take anything and everything. You can go to any station tix office or tix boutique that's most convenient. They probably won't be English, but their English is usually quite good and my friend spoke no French. You also probably know to start the conversation with " bonjour" . We didn't get a lot of smiles, but that refund came 3 mos. later almost to the day. We were hoping we'd have to go back to Paris to track it down. Good luck and don't let this spoil your fun.

Hi everyone. I'm back from my trip. I emailed them a few times, but they did not answer my email.

Apparently this does happen to other people and they just had me rebook my tickets (at the current price) when I went to the station and spoke to a live person. I also had to fill out a form for refund of the original. I should be getting the refund in 3 months.

If this happens to anyone else out there, make sure to allow ample time to line up twice: once for the tickets, another for customer service to get the refund.

Thanks for all your help!
