Bonjour,
I'm not going to be scaling any cliffs or sky diving, but has anyone had experience with using your medical insurance policy here in the states for treatment or surgery over in france, or purchased a travel insurance plan, which had a med evacuation provision?
Merci
Most likely have taken out the travel insurance plan when booking a trip that covered a certain amount of care if needed abroad as well as the usual 50K med evacuation.
This is the most common one

You need to check to see what coverage, if any, your US health-insurance policy provides when you are in Europe. Some provide good coverage for basic medical treatment (medical evacuation is a different matter), but Medicare, just as one example, provides no coverage at all.
