Hello,
I am on a RS Paris tour this may staying at the Hotel de Londres Eiffel Paris. I am trying to book a room for 1 night prior to the start of the tour. In the past I would send my credit card information in two separate emails for security purposes, however the staff at the front desk said I would need to call with my cc information. I really don't feel comfortable calling since it will be expensive plus I don't speak the language. I've never had this issue before. Has anyone reserved a room at this hotel and have any advice.

Expensive? What, a couple of bucks maybe? Just call them. You don't speak French? Good thing the hotel staff will be able to speak 4 or 5 or 6 languages (including English). Stop fretting over international phone calls. It's just not that big of a deal:

Tim is right but be sure to take the time difference into account so that you get the day staff on the phone.

The front desk staff (day or night) at that hotel are very competent at their jobs and speak superb English. No need to worry about calling. You can start with Bon jour and then speak English. I'm sure they'd be happy to help.
