We have a Steve’s Tour in Paris scheduled for February 2025 but we are going a few days early and want a hotel close to Notre Dame, Latin Quarter. Has anyone stayed at Hotel du College de France , located above the "Commanderie des Chevaliers de Saint Jean de Latran"? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We have stayed at the Hotel du College de France at 7 Rue Thenard, 5th arr. several times but not for some years. I’m afraid I’m confused. Same place?

We always liked it. However, our last visit was about 8 years ago. And the price that I just saw is très different that our last stays. Over three visits, we were always pleased. We were always treated well by the friendly and helpful staff ( they went above and beyond helping retrieve my luggage from Air France one year ). The rooms were small but comfortable, well maintained and the bathrooms sparkly level clean and modernly stylish. Breakfast was optional and in a small area off the small lobby. The elevator accommodated one person and one suitcase at a time. The location was fantastic with easy access to early morning coffee and all restaurants, shops and metro needs. The Cluny is rather close. It was our go to hotel. I’ll be interested to hear your report if you choose to stay. Have a great trip.
