Has anyone hiked around Mt Blanc?

The Warden and our daughter will be in Lyon in early June. After seeing the episode where Rick spent a few days walking around Mt Blanc, they both would like to try it. The issue is how to find a group to join?

Has anyone here done that or able to suggest a guide or group they can join for two days?

TIA, Joe

Yes, we did a 7-day 3-country guided trek with MT Sobek a few years ago—-considerably more than the 2- or 3-day hike Rick did. Our guides were members of the Compagnie des Guides Chamonix, a professional guides association. They offer some options with 2- or 3-day treks—-take a look here:

Yes, hubby and I plus friends did the full route over about 10 days. It was self-guided with all arrangements made by Mac's Adventure. They moved our luggage every night, gave us maps, booked hotels, etc. It was strenuous but an amazing experience. Loved it!

Exodus Travel do several small guided group tours for circuits of Mont Blanc. Some camping, some hotel based. However they are 1 or 2 weeks long. You cant walk around MB in a few days! :-).

I actually did this hike myself back in 2023 with MT Sobek, and it was a truly fantastic experience. We covered a lot of ground – over 60 miles – in just eight days. The great thing about MT Sobek is they handle everything – accommodations, meals, and most importantly, experienced guides who really know the Alps.

The scenery is simply stunning. You get amazing views, charming villages, and even friendly encounters with Swiss cows. It's a fantastic way to experience the highlights of the Tour du Mont Blanc without a full two-week commitment.

It's important to note that the hikes do have their challenges, with some sections having significant elevation gains. But if you're in decent physical condition and have a sense of adventure, it's absolutely worth it. I'm not sure if you can join for just two days, but here's the link...

There are also plenty of shorter day hikes around Chamonix that do not require
an agency to set up for you, but you may want a lift pass to get you up the mountain
at least part of the way. Lots of websites have various levels of information. You
would probably want to stay in Chamonix those days, though.
