Has anyone eaten at Tour 58 Eiffel?

I have a gift of dinner there with my wife and 17 & 22 year old kids. While the Warden and I along with our 22 year old daughter are somewhat adventurous in our eating, our 17 year old son isn't so. His idea of exotic food is a pork chop and baked potato with green beans.

Any one eaten here before? How was it? Any tips or advice?

We ate there in 2009, and it was awesome. We were added on with a French teacher's class (we knew them). All of the students were under 22 years old (mostly high schoolers). I don't recall that there was any problems with the food. You can probably look at the menu online on their website. Look for the flag at the top for English (either an American flag or UK). I, personally, was over the moon with their cherry-flavored aperitif drink. If you can try it, I highly recommend it. Everything there was fabulous, the view, too!

We ate there about 4 years ago with our granddaughters (ages 9 & 12 at the time). The younger girl would prefer to order a hamburger everywhere she goes. I don't remember any to-do over the menu choices, so they couldn't have been too exotic. I think they both had a mac & cheese casserole, which they liked.
As for eating at Tour 58, it's a very touristy thing to do. It's overpriced and the food is nothing special. Ah, but eating in the Eiffel Tower is something you'll remember forever. You are, after all, tourists.
Enjoy.

Dear Joseph--

That is so sweet that you are concerned about him, but it's YOUR birthday, all planned for YOU, so forget about him, relax and enjoy yourself! He'll figure it out or get a crèpe at a stand afterwards! Bring some peanut butter with you from the States if need be. You can find sliced bread and innocuous jam there.
