Hi Betsy,
We have used EatWith in Amsterdam and Athens. We tried doing one in Paris but the host had to cancel. The 2 times we used EatWith it was a great experience.

I and two travel companions enjoyed an EatWith experience in Paris in 2023. We had a four-course wine-paired dinner in the 14th arrondissement home of a lovely couple. Retired professionals, they love to cook, love to entertain, and love to meet visitors to their city. After we made the booking, we communicated using EatWith's messaging portal. They used that to find out if we had any food allergies or preferences and to give us directions to their home.

The food and wine were fabulous and our hosts were outgoing and easy to converse with, sharing stories about their family, their careers, their travels and their day-to-day lives in Paris. The three hours flew by. The opportunity to see, first-hand, how locals live was very unique. The evening was one of the highlights of the four days we spent in Paris on that trip.

I just looked at the EatWith experiences presently being offered in Paris and no longer see our hosts listed, so perhaps they have stepped away from it. In case I missed their listing, their first names were Christiane and Renaud.

We did this in Krakow. It was my birthday and I wanted a unique dinner. We had a lovely dinner with the hostess, her friend, and 2 Korean and 2 British women.
