Has anyone been to the Bus Station in Nice recently ?

We are going to bus from Nice to Eze and I am finding conflicting bus station information for bus #82 or #112 due to construction.
I just want to make sure I have current info.

How would you confirm the location - even if I need to confirm it the day before we get into Nice ?

Unless something has changed since last May (which of course it may have), you're not looking for a bus station, but rather for a stop somewhere on the street. Buses for different destinations have different points of origin in Nice.

The tourist office on the plaza outside the Nice Ville RR station gave me accurate info on where to get the bus to St.-Paul-de-Vence last year. In addition, though I don't know which company runs the buses to Eze, Lignes d'Azur has a small office just down the street from Nice Ville. I just stopped in to pick up some printed schedules and don't remember how much English was spoken there; the tourist office is rock-solid on that score, as well as generally very helpful. The T.O. may be able to provide a map of Eze, for example.

Thank you ! That's a good suggestion.

I read something different about where the buses are picking up each time I google. I know there is some construction happening.

Yes, things were in flux last year, and it didn't look like they would be finishing the construction soon. I think maybe Rick mentions in his book that the bus stops are subject to change. I know I was nervous about it and was relieved when the St.-Paul-de-Vence bus actually showed up where I was told to wait. Unfortunately, I don't remember whether there was any signage there. Do allow some extra time if you are unable to scout out the bus stop a day in advance.

Yes, there is a bus station (gare routiere) in Nice. It's not really a station but more like a collection of islands and curbs where buses commence. It's pretty far away from the center, at Vauban. However, you can pick up the bus 82 or 112 from a stop closer to the center. Like the Boyer stop on Rue Barla -- that one is not obvious, just a sign and no overhead shelter. About a block north of Place Garibaldi.

Now having said that, I've not tried to catch that line during a peak travel season. Some people do go to the end of the line at Vauban to guarantee a seat. You can take Tram Line 1 to Vauban and walk to the stop (through a brief tunnel).

Your most up to date information is via the Lignes d'Azur web site or app. The French language version has up to date information on diversions, schedule changes, etc. (Use translate.google.com if you can not read French).

Thank you for all of your help !

I had looked at Vauban and read that one could catch the bus at Max Barel. If we can find the correct bus location.
