We will have 2 "extra" days in Nice in June; we have been there before so are looking to branch out. I found an article about Mougins and thought it would be an interesting place to visit for a day. Has anyone been there before so you could tell me if it is worth a visit? Can we take a bus from Nice to Mougins? This article was all about food, so I am wondering if there is anything to see. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Have you done a Google search on Mougins? it has a lovely museum and is the place where Pablo Picasso lived in his later years and died. It's only about a 45 minute drive from Nice so it would be an easy 1/2 or full day trip. It was interesting to me because of Picasso and the focus on art. Last year, I saw an episode of House Hunters set in Mougins. Being close to Cannes, Mougins is not exactly off the beaten path. I don't know of a bus from Nice but there is one from Cannes and you can easily get from Nice to Cannes by train. You can find out about the bus here: http://www.cg06.fr/fr/servir-les-habitants/deplacements/transport-collectifs/lignes-et-horaires/lignes-et-horaires/. You need route 600.
I did look on the internet for information about Mougins, but I was also wanting to see what someone thought of the town that had actually been there. Your information you gave me was very helpful; thanks alot! We will definitely check it out.
