We have been able to use our US handicap parking placard with no trouble in Italy, Romania and Croatia. Does anyone know if we can us in France?

We noticed handicapped public parking while visiting Alsace two years ago. What made them memorable was the stenciled phrase that translated wishing ineligible drivers a handicap if you parked in the space. Highly effective -- the space was unoccupied!
