Guide Paris

Heading back to Paris, been there multiple times. This trip, in October, we would like to work with a local guide to see the refurbished Notre-Dame. In the past we have just wondered in and looked around in amazement. This time, would like someone who knows the Cathedral to show us around. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time!

Well, there is Emily, who posts a lot about Notre Dame here on this forum and gives generously of her knowledge. She is the one who created the Reddit post that has so much information on Notre Dame, and now works as a guide in Paris to escort visitors around Notre Dame. From everything I can see, she would be a good resource. I typically don't promote guides as I don't use them and have not used her services. However, given the advice she has posted here, I am thinking that she would be a good choice. Here is a link to her website where you can find more info: https://www.quasimodoandhiscathedraltours.com/

Also, here is Kim's thread that links to Emily's original Reddit post that had such a comprehensive guide to Notre Dame. https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/france/notre-dame-visit-comprehensive-resource-on-how-to-get-your-free-ticket

Emily has given this forum a lot of her knowledge about Notre Dame, so I don't think you could go wrong here.

Before the fire Notre Dame used to give guided tours in English for a nominal fee. I have NO idea if these will resume and if so if they will be going by October. Nothing is listed on the official website so far.

Previously I have booked a private tour with Paris Walks (www.paris-walks.com). It was a different area/subject but it was excellent. They may be able to arrange a private tour with one of their guides. I've had a good experience with emailing Oriel, who is one of the owners.
