Guide in Reims

Does anyone have the name of a guide in Reims who could give us a private half day tour of Reims that doesn't involve champagne? Every tour we've seen online includes champagne and we've already got that very well covered; we'd like to focus for a bit on the history and architecture, and perhaps include a tour of the inside of the cathedral.

Thanks in advance...

We found it very easy to do our own walking tour as the cathedral isn't that far a walk to the Museum of Surrender and the Roman arch. We opted to do a champagne house tour and tasting in town, but once again, we did it on our own. You could just forgo that. The T/A in Reims will probably have a map and info if you want to DIY. Info about the history of the cathedral is easy to find online or at the library. The Tourist Authority for the town may also have some recommended guides, but if you don't find someone, a half-day self-guided tour is very doable. (P.S. We did this in our mid- 70's, so not strenuous.)

the website has changed a bit, husband & wife (she speaks english he doesn't). in two 2CV cars. (there was 4 of us) met us back side of cathedral, tour around small city, out into countryside small villages, stopping at vineyards & local private winery to sample, then back to reims (was about 4-5 hours) had a bite to eat, loved the little gift shop, went to cafedupalais.fr for a flight of local champagnes & dessert. walk back to train and on our return to paris. fun day
you can email the company above to see if they will do a tour what you want/wish for and cost
another idea we have done in other cities is at taxi stops we asked if driver was willing to take us on a tour around the area showing/telling us the history, architecture, parks & gardens. confirmed cost and length of tour first (we gave good tip) and off we went. everyone has their own opinions to agree or disagree, we know what we liked and wanted may be different than others.
whatever you decide go have fun and enjoy
