Searching for a guide with car to pick up 2 people from Versailles in December and take them on a day trip to Normandy WWII area and then return them to a hotel in Paris. i realize it will be a long day

annieswopefarrar, I have used Toursbylocals.com for years in many different countries. I have never had a bad experience. Check out their website, I believe you will find at least one private tour in Normandy from Versailles.

You will pay out the wazoo for this. Because someone will have to come from Normandy, go to Versailles, take you back yo Normandy, and then get themselves back to Normandy
Much better to get yourselves to Normandy on public transport and have someone pick you up for a tour there, then get yourselves back to Paris on public transport. It will still be expensive but nothing like what you are looking for now.
