Anyone been to Guernsey France and suggest any special tips for what to see and do?
Please clarify. Are you asking just about Guernsey (which is not part of France) or about Guernsey and France? If the latter, what part of France?
Oh, I thought it was a part of France since it was right off the coast... forgive me!
I am coming in on a cruise so I thought it was a part of France....
Guernsey is one of the Channel Islands. Part of Great Britain, but with an unusual administrative relationship.
I haven't been to Guernsey recently, but I'm hopeful you'll hear from someone knowledgeable soon. In the meantime, the Wikitravel page for Guernsey might be helpful: https://wikitravel.org/en/Guernsey_Island. You might also check TripAdvisor for suggestions.
The Channel Islands were occupied by the Germans during WWII. I'd expect the German Occupation Museum to be interesting.
I believe you'll find rather good bus service around the island.
I've just realized that you probably need to re-post this query on the forum for England so the right people see it. England's not quite right for the Channel Islands, but I think it will work.
Guernsey is not a part of Great Britain. It is a self governing British Crown colony. (Although they accept British Pounds and has open borders with the UK.)
While close, they are not part of France. This will be experienced by you since when you get there you'll find English is spoken and not French.
They accept their own currency as well as British Pounds. I'm sure you can find places to take the Euro but the exchange rate won't be great.
