Group tour to Omaha Beach from LeHarve cruise port

We will be at Le Harve Cruise port for one day this October. Overlord Tours is fully booked for group and private tours, and no more guides available. Any suggestions of other local tour agencies besides Viator that will pick up and return to port?
Thank you!

Take a look at the Things to do menu on TripAdvisor, which appears to have plenty of offerings for Normandy day tours from the port of Le Havre in October.
They show day tours from the port to Mont Ste Michel as well ... per your other inquiry.

We used HQ Company tours 9/23 and my son just used them three weeks ago..we were both happy with our choice. Our tour was from Bayeau but I am fairly sure they pick up at the. Cruise stop as well. Good lick.

Viator is a 3rd party consolidator and does not actually run the tours themselves. If you look at the Viator website you should be able to drill down to see which company is actually providing the tour. Go to the section with Additional Information, then scroll down to the bottom of that section to see the provider, then check out the provider's website to see what you think.

The best tour I've done is with Dale Booth, Normandy Tours but I do not know if he does cruise pick up tours from Le Havre.

The pickup and return time is substantial, not like a typical pickup in Bayeux or Caen. I see from Google Maps (which is not a precise travel time estimator) that it's almost two hours each way to Omaha Beach. If you're only in port eight or nine hours, there is some risk of the ship leaving without you. Does the cruise company offer a package tour (for which the ship will wait, if it is late returning?) Guided D-Day tours can be pricey, so the high cruise company prices may not be such an awful comparison.

Just fyi. An Overlord Tour from Bayeux for the day is about $150.00 per person, so one from Le Havre will be considerably higher priced, if available. If the ship offers one, it may be worth the expense. I know those are almost always very pricey, but for the peace of mind on returning in time,I might go for it, especially if the Omaha Beach visit is really important to you.

Hello,

We were in Normandy Bayeux in April. Originally reaching out to Dale Booth as guide but he was already booked. He did suggest Valerie Vaultier who was exceptional! What I don’t know is if she offers port pick ups, drop off but worth a try reaching out. We still talk about what an outstanding guide she was. Hope this helps.

Also try the Bayeux Shuttle. They can pick you up at the train station and provide a tour in a minivan.

I appreciate this post. I have a cruise planned next summer July 2026 with a port day in La Havre. My family group of 11 hopes to also do a Normandy tour. My husband and I several years ago stayed in Bayeax and loved our all day D-day tour with Overlord. This time we will have our 5 grandkids and their parents. I havent seen shore excursions offered yet but hopeful there will be a way to do this again. More difficult this time is because of the longer transportation needed. I too contact the tour companies rather than 3’d party travel websites. I will first need to see what our cruise line offers. A concern always is not making it back to port in time.

Our cruise stop at Le Harve will be from 7am-8pm. Most of the tours are about 10 hrs. Try to book with Overlord early, we missed out on that. We just booked a 3rd party shared coach bus tour is about $250, and the ship is $345.
