I am trying to get tickets online to reserve two spots to visit Font-de-Gaume cave next year but it looks like they only release the tickets one month at a time. Does anyone know when they release the tickets for the following month? For example, today is November 7 so when in November would they release the December tickets?

The official answer is "who knows" .
Last July the tickets for Font-de-Gaume were on sale about 3 months before the date, but for l'abri de cap blanc not until two weeks before. This was a result of a problem with the website rather than a policy issue.
Just hang on, and if you can't see tickets on the official site about three weeks in advance email the Tourist Office in Les Eyzes and ask if there's a problem.
