I'm curious why neither fontsineblesu or Grenoble are included in your tour book of France. I have been trAvelling from Normandy, Paris and on my way down to Provence But was at a loss when it came to fontsineblesu and Grenoble because it was not included inyour book.
I try never to travel with the comforting feeling of having a Rick steves tour book with me and for that I thank you
I have never heard of fontsineblesu. Are you confused about how to spell Fontainebleau or is there some other destination you have in mind? Steves books are not all encompassing; for that you can choose among many books. He chooses to focus on a limited number of recommended destination and do them more thoroughly.
Fontainebleau palace is covered in Rick's Paris book (4 pages), which does have a bit more detail than the France book. For Grenoble, try http://travel.michelin.com/web/destination/France-French_Alps-Grenoble; they start out describing it as a "large, modern city," with a few recommended museums.
