We went to the Petit Palais today which was well worth the visit and the free entry. Recommend it! My husband was so disappointed the Grand Palais raised roof area was closed until the next exhibit in September. All we could do was gaze through the iron doors that were locked. Perhaps we should have gone to the website. But we had three tour guides that did not really draw our attention to this possibility. We did go to the Rodin exhibit which was great and air conditioned. Just wanted to share re: Grand Palais in case anyone planning things. Today there were also special France 2024 Olympic bid activities on the road outside the Grand and Petit Palais.
