gorges du tarn or gorges du verdon? July dates

Hi everyone!

We only have time for one of these gorges. Any thoughts?
We like hikes that are 1-hour up to 6-hours.
We are not pro hikers by any means, but we are healthy 35-40 year olds.
We like kayaking and canoeing.
We like otherworldly places.
We have loved hiking and walking around:
Zion National Park Utah (loved being in the water in The Narrows, and up high at Angels Landing and hiking up and down and around the hoodoos)
Joshua Tree California
Adirondacks New York
Lake Plitvices Croatia
Kauai Hawaii

Gorges du Tarn is more efficient for our travels (we are headed to Spain), but open to spending more time for better views/hikes/water/towns.

Thanks!
YuLing

I haven't been to Gorges du Vernon, but have been to Gorge du Tarn and you can't beat it for views, scenery and beauty. If it is on your way to Spain, I would choose it so as to maximize your time at the gorge. There are places where you can rent canoes and kayaks.

Gorges du Verdon are definitively the best ones! You have the "Sentier Martel" 14km which does cover a big part of the canyon, a must-do! Or the "Imbut" a bit more difficult but very nice as well!
