Good to stay near Aligre Market, Paris?

We are looking at Airbnb options and there is one very near the Aligre Market. Can anyone say if this is a good area to stay? We're hoping to enjoy the area plus have good transportation options to get to the major sights. Thank you.

You could be a 10 to 15 minute walk from Bastille metro station with its three metro lines, 1, 5 and 8. You could be a less than 10 minute walk to Gare de Lyon where you could catch RER lines A and D and metro lines 1 and 14 and of course there are plenty of bus stops. Transportation is not going to be a problem -- you can put the address in Google Maps and select Transit from menu in the upper left hand corner and you will see all the metro and bus stops near your place. I find this area to be less touristy than many other areas of Paris and a nice area to stay. If you stay over there, or even if you do not, check out Blé Sucré bakery, Le Baron Rouge wine bar, and A la Biche aux Bois restaurant.

If your address is "very near" the Marche Aligre, you might not be too happy with the noise and crowds during the hours of the daily market (closed on Monday) on the place, there. There are also market streets which radiate out from the place where the market is held.
If your address is located anywhere near the "horseshoe" which surrounds the market area on Google Maps, and if you don't want to deal with constant delivery noise and crowds, you might want to look for another location. Even if your apartment is on a courtyard, it will be noisy.
Transportation options are very convenient, especially on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine, but it's not a convenient area for walking to the places most people want to see.

I think Chexbres makes a good point about the possibility of noisiness. I've stayed near Square Armand Trousseau and it was not at all noisy but I imagine that if one were to stay in the immediate vicinity of the market, early morning noise could be an issue.
