Good driving route for lavender fields in Provence

Hi,

Can you suggest some good driving routes to see the lavender fields?

If driving from Nice, is this a good order to visit the following places? Which route should I take or avoid?
Nice -> Lac de Sainte-Crox -> Puimoisson -> Valensole

Any tips on how to avoid toll highway?
