In Paris right now. Any good cafe recommendations on Rue MontMartre?
Any one will do - they are all about the same.
Any particular part of Rue Montmartre? What about Rue du Faubourg Montmartre or the side streets? I guess what I am trying to figure out is if the place HAS to be on Rue Montmartre. My family of four ate at La Piazzetta on Rue Montmartre near Rue d'Aboukir last August and it was quite good. For that trip, we stayed on Rue Bachaumont so we went to a number of places in the area but La Piazzetta is the only one on Rue Montmartre.
This is a amazing cafe, over 100 years old . Prices and food are excellent.

Thanks for the good tips. I have also heard kong is good and creme de la paris and pizzeria popolare are fun?
So, I guess the places do not have to be on Rue Montmartre. By the way, Kong has a nice setting and view, but the food is not great and service can be questionable at times. It's a "see and be seen" place. La Creme de Paris is a good crepe and waffle place.
Thanks for the info, jhk. We didn't make it to Kong or Pizzeria Popolare (my, that waiting line was long!), but we did enjoy Crème de Paris, very much. I had their flaming apricot Crepe Suzette that had Grand Marnier and Caramel mixed together as part of the topping. It was fabulous! It was fun seeing the outside of Pizzeria Popolare, and all the lit-up bottles in its windows.
