Anyone have any experience booking a round of Golf in the French Riviera (Monaco, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Nice, areas?)
I hadn’t thought of your question but I may have extra time on the Riviera this fall and would be very interested in any answers AND the probability of being able to rent senior golf clubs! Hoping you have more productive responses than mine…
The courses tend to be in the area to the north of Cannes, near Mougins/Valbonne/Roquebrune (up through to Grasse) or just to the west near Mandelieu and to the east near Biot and Vence. There is St. Donat course near Grasse for example, which belongs to a pass system -- but I don't have any direct experience with it. Not all the courses participate in that one --- like two near Mougins.
Following up: Found a few promising golf options in the area that allow non-members to play:
Le royal Mougin (20 minutes from Cannes)
Monte Carlo golf (25 minutes from Monaco)
Golf Old Course Cannes Mandelieu (15 minutes from Cannes port)
Royal Mougins looks like a very nice course, and the high season green fee of 190 euro is not unreasonable.
